This position is full‑time, entry‑level, located in Sidney, Maine. You will work on construction projects across Central Maine.
Responsibilities
- Drive to construction sites and perform field tests on materials such as concrete, soil, aggregate, asphalt, grout, mortar, and steel.
- Lift, carry, and transport samples of construction materials, walk through sites, and use equipment such as wheelbarrows.
- Document test results and observations; write or type reports using a computer or tablet.
- Interpret design plans and specifications; learn to read and understand construction documents.
- Perform laboratory work or attend training sessions when not on the field.
- Provide support for safety compliance, including wearing safety‑toe boots and following company protocols.
Employment Details
- Work schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend work and early mornings or late evenings during peak season.
- Guaranteed training while you learn; pay provided during training.
- Not required to have prior experience.
Qualifications
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to write and type observations and test results.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.
