Job summary

Granite Construction is hiring a plant operations professional to oversee cost and engineering activities, ensuring efficient production and regulatory compliance at our materials processing facilities. • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws related to plants and safety.
• Public speaking skills and ability to communicate with management.

Responsibilities

• Determine and calculate production quantities and communicate to management for cost clarity.
• Prepare, implement and test SWPPP and hazardous materials plans with Environmental Dept for compliance.
• Perform operational improvement studies and recommend process modifications for efficiency.
• Conduct safety audits and meetings to promote a safe work environment.
• Prepare and prioritize maintenance and repairs of material processing equipment.
• Manage spare parts inventories to enable efficient repairs.
• Perform semi-annual inventory reconciliations for accuracy.
• Support plant manager, foreman and superintendents to ensure successful operations.
