Job summary

RTX Collins Aerospace in Bellevue, IA is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Electrical Engineer to support manufacturing test and related processes. You will evaluate and solve everyday manufacturing problems related to design, process and supplier issues, with LEAN principles guiding your work.

The role offers hands-on experience, mentoring from senior engineers, and opportunities to develop test methods while contributing to cost reduction and test yields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM major obtained by start date.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical interpretation of drawings and specifications for products with guidance from senior engineers.
• Assist in identifying and addressing design tolerance issues with engineering team.
• Support the development and execution of test plans and evaluate test equipment designs.
• Help with capacity planning by gathering and analyzing data to support staffing and equipment requirements.
• Contribute to reducing test defects, improving test yields, and root cause analysis of test failures.
