Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Grandview, TX. This entry-level position performs routine preventive maintenance and supports equipment upkeep under supervision.

You will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical systems using a variety of tools, and follow lock-out/tag-out safety procedures. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, 1–2 years of manufacturing maintenance experience (preferred), and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• 1–2 years’ maintenance/repair experience in manufacturing desirable.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic equipment, presses, cordless drills, clamps.
• Ability to read basic machine schematics.
• Willingness to learn and work with others.
• Familiarity with hand tools and troubleshooting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine tasks including scheduled preventive maintenance assigned by a supervisor.
• Inspects, repairs, and maintains mechanical equipment using a variety of tools.
• Maintains safety by following lock-out/tag-out procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Keeps records and organizes parts and materials for assigned areas.
• Lifts and moves materials up to 50 lbs as needed; works with other departments for success.
