Job summary

UFP Industries in Texas is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to help maintain, repair, and install equipment and facilities under direct supervision. This role includes keeping records and supporting special projects.

You'll perform routine preventive maintenance, inspect mechanical equipment, read simple schematics, follow lock-out/tag-out procedures, and work safely with tools. A high school diploma and 1–2 years of maintenance experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of maintenance/repair experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license.
• Ability to read basic machine schematics and use measuring tools to 0.001” accuracy.
• Willingness to learn and work with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance as assigned by a supervisor.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery with a variety of tools.
• Apply knowledge of OSHA requirements to daily activities.
• Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures for safety and equipment protection.
• Share information with supervisor and team in a clear, actionable manner.
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
