Job summary

Hotel Teatro, a Sage Hospitality Group property in Denver, seeks a Maintenance Technician 1 – Entry Level to uphold the boutique hotel's architectural integrity and operational excellence. This role performs building systems maintenance, supports guest experiences, and works with the engineering team across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and related trades.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, some maintenance experience, and the ability to work weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school training preferred.
• Minimum 6 months experience in a maintenance or similar role.
• Ability to maintain HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment; perform carpentry and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical, guest rooms).
• Monitor engineering functions during off-hours and respond to emergencies.
• Inspect rounds of the property to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain logs, take readings, and document parts used.
• Handle elevator breakdowns and maintain preventive maintenance records.
• Complete work orders daily and report unsafe conditions.
