Job summary

The Wonderful Company in Delano, CA is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Mechanic to support packaging equipment. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Baggers, Printers, CSMAs, Weighers and Box Formers, and assist with setup and minor repairs.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and learning; overtime, weekends, and varying shifts are required. Training and development opportunities are available through CMMS work orders and collaboration with senior staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree and three years or more of related experience preferred (or equivalent).
• Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and present general business items to groups.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safety rule compliance (LOTO, fall protection, hot work, etc.).
• Provide and assist in operation of Baggers, Printers, CSMAs, Weighers and Box Formers.
• Perform uptime/downtime inspections, lubrications, predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Create work requests and CMMS entries; document work performed.
• Assist Packaging Specialist on repairs and improvements to equipment.
