Job summary

Wonderful Citrus in Delano, CA is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on packaging equipment (Baggers, Printers, CSMA, Weighers and Box Formers) and learn to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

The position is based in Delano and requires a High School diploma or GED; a technical degree and 3+ years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree and 3+ years of related experience in production/manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, interpret and present general business items to groups.
• Overtime, weekends and rotating/varying shifts may be required.
• Stand/walk up to 12 hours; lift up to 50 pounds; work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Operate and assist in the operation of Baggers, Printers, CSMA, Weighers and Box Formers.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment; escalate issues as necessary.
• Assist training and development of operators and team members.
• Create work requests and parts in CMMS; document work performed.
• Assist Packaging Specialist on repairs and improvements to equipment.
• Clear Bin Jams and minor rebuilds; replace bearings, shafts, sprockets.
