This entry‑level role supports higher‑level technicians and maintenance leadership while helping maintain safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4–6 months of maintenance, facilities, or related operational experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret basic schematics, manuals, and work instructions.
• Experience with or ability to learn CMMS systems.
• Understanding of OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of distribution center systems and production equipment.
• Complete scheduled maintenance tasks per procedures.
• Adjust, clean, and replace minor components.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS and logs.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Support repair and replacement of worn equipment under supervision.
• Assist in equipment setup, installation, and basic calibration.
• Monitor conveyors, compactors, and related systems for proper operation.
• Support recycling and waste handling processes.
• Perform minor repairs including carpentry and painting.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and tools.
• Identify unsafe conditions and support PPE compliance.
• Respond to maintenance work orders promptly.
• Track completed work and materials used.
• Participate in training to build skills.
