Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician responsible for assisting in equipment repair and preventative maintenance in our Arkansas facility. You will troubleshoot, repair and optimize equipment to meet production needs.

You will work with engineers and vendors, follow safety policies, and contribute to team initiatives. Experience with welding, electrical or mechanical repair, refrigeration or hydraulics is preferred; military veterans are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must have experience or vocational training in welding, electrical or mechanical repair, and refrigeration or hydraulics.
• Follows safety requirements and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in equipment repair and preventative maintenance procedures in the operation of the facility.
• Repairs, replaces, corrects or affects equipment as needed to ensure equipment operates correctly and efficiently according to production requirements.
• Consults with Engineers and vendors; troubleshoot equipment; layouts for projects as needed.
• Meets safety requirements in accordance with Simmons and government safety/environmental regulations.
• Participates as a member of the Team and supports best practices, attends team meetings, and helps resolve issues to achieve synergy.
