Job summary

Staples is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to join our warehouse operations in Idaho Falls. You will engage with hand tools and learn hydraulics, electrical systems, and industrial batteries while contributing to reliable equipment performance.

Training will be provided to develop preventative maintenance and troubleshooting skills, with opportunities to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment. A positive, safety-conscious attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• Full-time associate; ability to work overtime based on business needs.
• Work at heights up to 40 feet or more.
• Ability to lift/push/pull 70–100 pounds by hand.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks using hand tools and learn hydraulics, electrical systems, and industrial batteries.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting following vendor manuals and procedures.
• Receive training to operate MHE and obtain necessary certifications.
• Adhere to company safety procedures and maintain safe work practices.
