Job summary

High Point Residence Chicago Northwest in Chicago, IL is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to help keep our community safe, clean, and well-maintained for residents, families, and staff. This is a full-time role with a Sunday–Thursday schedule.

You will perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, floor care, apartment turnovers, and assist with grounds and equipment. Strong communication and dependable attendance are essential as you work with the team to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Preferred: healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or residential maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with CMMS and basic building systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Assist with general upkeep of the facility, including grounds, equipment, and common areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper floor care across the community.
• Assist with garbage removal and waste disposal procedures.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and community needs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Assist with apartment turnovers and preparation for new move-ins.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment.
