Key duties include forming molded sheets with thermal presses, laying up and curing glass polyester sheets per orders, and preparing resins with precise weighing and mixing.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing with mixing, batching or compounding equipment.
• Production and processing knowledge of raw materials.
• Quality control and inspections experience.

Responsibilities

• Form molded sheets of materials using thermal press machines.
• Manufacture molded glass polyester sheets by laying up material to the desired thickness and spreading resin according to customer orders per instructions on customer work orders.
• Use Scale, Weighing, and Mixing procedures to add resin & filler to prep resin for molding process.

Entry-Level Machine Operator to join our team.

Job Summary Entry-Level Machine Operator (Composites)

Implement the Production Fulfillment Process steps related to the manufacture of thermoset composite materials by operating manufacturing equipment that includes thermal presses. Ensures machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with (and can produce materials that conform with) company quality, quantity, and efficiency standards. Sets up and operates one or more composites production lines under limited supervision to manufacture products of moderate complexity.

• Form molded sheets of materials using thermal press machines.
• Manufacture molded glass polyester sheets by laying up material to the desired thickness and spreading resin according to customer orders per instructions on customer work orders.

Requirements:

Preferred

• Prior experience in a manufacturing industry with mixing, batching or compounding equipment.
• Production and processing knowledge of raw materials and product processing, quality control.
• Quality Control Analysis – Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

Work Environment

• This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals.
• Warm work environment all year round.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
• The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform manual tasks as required.
