Job summary

The Gund Company is seeking a full-time Machine Operator in Waukesha, WI, to operate equipment involved in forming and shaping thermoset composite materials. The role requires handling presses, forming, extrusion, pultrusion, and related tasks in a non-climate-controlled plant environment. Shift: 1st (6:30am - 3:00pm, Mon-Fri).

Wage: $21-24 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include PTO, comprehensive health/dental/vision/Life coverage, 401(k) with 50% match and ESOP, plus ongoing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to perform manual tasks and use hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture molded glass polyester sheets.
• Select and install machine components, such as dies, spacers, shims and/or stops according to specifications.
• Trim/file and de-flash molded sheet edges and perform in process measuring and material inspections.
• Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Clean dies and molds, using scrapers, brushes, scotch pads or air hoses.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Summary Machine Operator

As a Machine Operator, you will play a key role in the steps related to the manufacture of thermoset composite materials by operating manufacturing equipment that includes presses, forming, extrusion, pultrusion and/or shape machines. Duties also involve manual work and duties that require the use of various hand tools and secondary/accessory equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience.

Preferred

• Prior experience in a manufacturing industry with mixing, batching or compounding equipment is preferred.

Work Environment Machine Operator

• This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
• The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
