The Gund Company, a leader in engineered material solutions, seeks a CNC Set-Up Operator II for our Waukesha, WI facility. This full-time role shifts 6:30am–3:00pm, M-F, at 809 Philip Drive.

Starting hourly wage is $27+ based on experience, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for cross-training. Responsibilities include setting up and operating CNC equipment, verifying parts against blueprints, and ensuring adherence to quality standards in a non-climate-controlled

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in CNC machining or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or GED required; vocational training is a plus.
• Experience reading and interpreting basic to intermediate blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple types of CNC machining centers to manufacture custom parts.
• Adjust G & M codes on HAAS machines using MasterCam.
• Follow blueprints and specifications to ensure parts meet customer requirements.
• Perform packaging and assist with cross-training within the department.

Job Summary CNC Set-Up Operator II

• Implement the Production Fulfillment Process for the fabrication of parts according to work order and customer requirements.
• Ensures machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with company standards.
• Set up, adjust, and identify programming, and operate numerically controlled machine tools.
• Operators may run more than one machine simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities CNC Set-Up Operator II

• Operates multiple types of fabrication equipment and tools using CNC machining centers to manufacture a variety of custom parts.
• Adjusts G & M codes at HAAS machines via MasterCam.
• Follows written instructions and interpret basic to intermediate blueprint specifications.
• Checks parts for conformance to customer specifications.
• Maintains count and performs packaging duties as required.
• Participates in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the department.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience, or equivalent
• A High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience is required. Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred

Work Environment CNC Set-Up Operator II

• This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
• The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
