Job summary
RTX's Mechanical Analysis and Test (MA&T) Engineer role in Huntsville offers the opportunity to contribute to aerospace products from early concept to production support. You will use classical and finite element methods with CREO-based CAD and industry-standard tools to ensure robust structural and thermal designs.
The position emphasizes hands-on testing, data analysis, and collaboration with experienced analysts and customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM fields required; DoD security clearance path described.
- Experience with structural design/analysis and solid CAD tools (CREO).
- Familiarity with PATRAN/NASTRAN/ANSYS/ABAQUS; Matlab preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform hand calculations and determine requirements for higher order detailed analysis.
- Perform detailed structural analyses to solve program design challenges.
- Generate test plans to validate analyses and verify hardware compliance.
- Analyze test data to validate models and generate mechanical loads/environments.
- Coordinate peer reviews and present results to stakeholders.
- Create detailed archival technical reports.
