City of Homestead is seeking an entry-level IT support specialist to provide helpdesk services and maintenance for applications and hardware used in City operations. The role collaborates with internal and external IT teams to configure, develop, and deploy software and devices.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential to succeed in this part-time, in-person position. The role reports to the Assistant Director of Innovation and Technology and involves regular duties such as

• Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of Windows desktop OS, MS 365 applications, TCP/IP, and O365 calendar.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues with diagnostic tools.

Responsabilidades

• Provide helpdesk support for computer systems, software, and hardware.
• Onsite and remote technical troubleshooting for users.
• Document configurations and maintenance in the inventory system.
• Assist with installation and configuration of new computer equipment.
• Monitor service requests and communicate status to users and IT teams.
• Support city operations with maintaining end-user devices and software.
