Job summary

Sprout is seeking an IT Hardware Technician to evaluate, test, and de-manufacture electronic equipment while upholding quality and safety standards. You will help maintain inventory accuracy and ensure compliant data handling.

The role requires knowledge of IT hardware, data erasure practices (NIST 800-88, ISO 27001), and proficiency with inventory software. A 50 lb lift ability and flexibility for overtime are expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in ITAD or electronics recycling or related field.
• Familiarity with testing tools and diagnostic software for electronics.

Responsibilities

• Sort and evaluate electronic equipment (CPUs, GPUs, RAM, HDDs, SSDs, mobiles).
• Record materials using scan guns and manual entry systems.
• Test electronic components and sub-assemblies.
• Perform data erasure following standardized protocols.
• Disassemble equipment into components per guidelines.
• Maintain accurate inventory tracking and workspace control.
• Follow health, safety and cleanliness protocols.
• Coordinate with team for smooth workflow transitions.
