TIC_Craft in Greenville, MS is seeking an entry-level helper to support skilled craftspeople on a construction/industrial site, performing duties under supervision and learning on the job.

You will read specifications, assist fabricating metal parts, help with hoisting, verify alignment, cut and weld steel, and assist with riggings, while adhering to safety rules. This role requires physical stamina and willingness to work irregular hours, including overtime.

Qualificações

• Pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing
• Pass fit-for-duty medical and background check
• Observe and comply with safety and project rules

Responsabilidades

• Learn to read specifications or blueprints to determine material needs
• Assist skilled craftsman to fabricate metal parts according to blueprints or instructions from supervisors
• Assist with unloading and positioning prefabricated steel units for hoisting; hoists steel beams, girders, or columns into place, using cranes or signaling hoisting equipment operators to lift and position structural steel members
• Learn to verify vertical and horizontal alignment of structural steel members, using plumb bobs, laser equipment, transits, or levels
• Cuts, bends, or welds steel pieces, using metal shears, torches, or welding equipment
• Assemble hoisting equipment or riggings, such as cables, pulleys, or hooks, to move heavy equipment or materials
