TIC Inc. is seeking an entry-level helper to assist skilled craftspeople on a construction site. You will read specifications, support fabrication of steel parts, and help position large components using cranes under supervision.

Responsibilities include ensuring alignment, performing basic cuts/welds, and assembling rigging to move heavy equipment. Strong safety focus and ability to follow directions are essential.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools.
• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, fit-for-duty medical, and background check.
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required.

Responsabilidades

• Learn to read specifications or blueprints to determine locations, quantities, or sizes of material required.
• Assist skilled craftsman to fabricate metal parts per blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
• Assist with unloading and positioning prefabricated steel units for hoisting; hoist steel beams, girders, or columns into place using cranes or signaling hoisting equipment operators.
• Learn to verify vertical and horizontal alignment of structural steel members using plumb bobs, laser equipment, transits, or levels.
• Cuts, bends, or welds steel pieces using metal shears, torches, or welding equipment.
• Assemble hoisting equipment or riggings such as cables, pulleys, or hooks to move heavy equipment or materials.
