Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking an Entry level helper to assist skilled craftspeople on construction and fabrication projects. The role involves reading blueprints, preparing material needs, and supporting heavy equipment operations under supervision.

You will learn to handle basic welding support, alignment checks, and assembly of hoisting gear while working on an industrial site. This entry-level position requires physical stamina and adherence to safety rules.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with prior field experience.
Knowledge, skills and abilities for the position.
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

Learn to read specifications or blueprints to determine material needs.
Assist skilled craftsman to fabricate metal parts per blueprints or supervisor instructions.
Assist with unloading and positioning prefabricated steel units using cranes or signaling hoisting operators.
Learn to verify vertical and horizontal alignment using plumb bobs, lasers, levels.
Cut, bend or weld steel pieces using shears, torches or welding equipment.
Assemble hoisting equipment or riggings to move heavy equipment or materials.
