Job summary

NuVasive Clinical Services is seeking a Neuromonitoring Specialist/Associate Neurophysiologist to provide intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring during surgery. Entry level may apply; full training provided, this field-based role offers exposure to top surgeons and a collaborative clinical team.

You will obtain histories, communicate findings to the surgical team, maintain equipment, document logs, and support ongoing innovation through training and education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and no previous professional experience.
• Must be CNIM eligible via one pathway as defined by ABRET.
• Knowledge of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) and/or anatomy/physiology.
• Operating Room experience preferred.
• Strong time management, organization, and communication in English with surgical staff.
• Ability to travel regularly and maintain hospital privileges.
• Be eligible for medical malpractice insurance coverage as provided by the company.
• Obtain and maintain CNIM status.

Responsibilities

• Obtains a detailed medical history and consults with the surgeon on structures at risk.
• Communicates monitoring information to the surgeon and team throughout the case.
• Displays and labels waveforms, measuring latencies, amplitudes, conduction times.
• Selects protocols and performs troubleshooting for accurate data collection.
• Completes documentation and prepares IOM logs and uploads.
• Maintains neuromonitoring equipment and performs required checks.
• Represents the company professionally and adheres to policy and compliance.
