Job summary

Alsco is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Worker/Utility to perform basic preventative maintenance on large textile processing equipment and handle facility tasks. The role reports to the Chief Engineer and is on-site at our Milwaukee facility.

You will assist maintenance technicians, monitor oil levels, clean lint traps, troubleshoot simple electrical issues, operate tools, and help minimize equipment downtime. A valid driver's license and basic mechanical aptitude are required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalency preferred.
• Demonstrate adequate mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient in the proper use of power and hand tools.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to comprehend and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic maintenance duties and monitors oil levels.
• Assists in regular maintenance and troubleshooting of grease fittings, lint traps, and related components.
• Supports Maintenance Technician and Chief Engineer; follows instructions and guidelines.
• Contributes to ongoing improvement of maintenance processes and safety practices.
• Works cooperatively with plant personnel in a professional manner.
• Follows written and verbal instructions and performs other tasks as directed by supervision.
