Job summary

Del-Air Heating & Air Con is seeking an entry-level RNC HVAC Residential Estimator I in Orlando. You will learn Del-Air's residential estimating process under supervision, handling standard Quick Bid estimates and building accuracy for higher responsibility over time.

You will work with estimators, sales, and design teams, supporting lot-specific requests and improving pace and judgment. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and adherence to company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• HVAC estimating/experience preferred but not required.
• Comfortable with Salesforce or similar workflow systems; knowledge of Wrightsoft, Manual J, or EnergyGauge is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Takeoffs: complete full takeoffs for standard residential Quick Bid jobs.
• Prepare labor, material, and equipment estimates from blueprints and specs.
• Create itemized takeoff lists for ductwork, grilles, and related equipment.
• Apply pricing standards and approved profit factors to estimates.
• Prepare formal contracts with required inclusions and exclusions for projects.
• Identify return air requirements and apply rules for layout and airflow.
• Use Salesforce Opportunities for all assigned jobs and keep Plan Review entries up to date.
• Communicate with sales, designers, and supervisors; escalate complex issues.
