A1 Mechanical is seeking an entry-level Sales/Estimating Team Member to learn the vital parts of the sales and estimating process. The role involves preparing bids and estimates for residential new construction and multi-family projects, with potential for growth within the company.

The position focuses on clerical and administrative duties to support the team and ensure timely project delivery, including site visits and coordination with builders and inspectors.

Qualifications

• Entry level position with opportunity to learn essential steps in Sales/Estimating process.
• Requires ability to read and understand construction documents and notes.
• Strong organization and communication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review construction documents and understand scope of work to bid.
• Read and understand sales notes and specs to confirm paperwork is correct.
• Provide support to team to complete tasks on time.
• Maintain cordial relations with superiors, coworkers, builders, and inspectors.
• Visit construction sites to observe methods for accurate estimating.
• Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, etc.
• Review estimates with Group Leader/Project Manager for accuracy before quotation.
• Use standard formats for completing estimates.
• Maintain backup of working documents and data for estimates.
• File vendor and subcontractor quotes in job folder.
• Track estimates and maintain a bid sheet with pertinent information.
• Attend departmental meetings as required.
• Maintain regular in-person attendance.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
