Job summary

Elite Executive Partners is seeking a hands-on individual to perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on residential heating and cooling systems. You will work with experienced technicians to develop skills toward becoming a fully qualified HVAC technician.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, part replacements, coil cleaning, and maintaining records. Training will cover safety procedures, with occasional after-hours on-call duties after completion of training.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • HVAC or technical training is preferred.
  • 6 months–1 year of maintenance, construction, or HVAC experience preferred.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Basic understanding of heating and cooling systems.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude, dependability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate professionally.

  • Replace filters, belts, capacitors, contactors, and thermostats as needed.
  • Clean evaporator and condenser coils and condensate drain lines.
  • Inspect equipment, identify issues, and report deficiencies.
  • Assist experienced technicians with diagnosing and repairing heating and cooling equipment.
  • Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and vehicle.
  • Follow all safety procedures and established standards.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to residents.
  • Participate in after-hours emergency/on-call service after training.

Job description

This position performs routine maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and minor repairs on residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.   • Occasional overtime and participation in an on-call rotation after training.
