Job summary

AECOM in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an Entry-Level Highway Design Engineer to join the Transportation team. You will work on a range of transportation projects in the Greater Pennsylvania Area, building analytic and design skills under supervision.

The role focuses on roadway geometry, traffic control, CAD production, and quantity/cost calculations, with a Summer 2027 start date. FE/EIT is preferred; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience.
• FE/EIT certification (any state) preferred.
• Capable of using spreadsheets, word processing, and other standard Office software.
• Demonstrate effective time management, task prioritization and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design roadway geometry, traffic control, signing and pavement markings.
• Utility coordination support.
• Computer Aided Design production.
• Calculation of quantities and cost estimates.
