Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking an entry level Truck Driver to support the construction, maintenance and repair of electrical transmission systems. The role involves work at various locations and may require travel to another state based on customer demands.

Responsibilities include stringing overhead wire, setting poles, assisting with transformers and switchgear, and ensuring safety while working with energized high voltage systems. Physical labor and readiness for overtime are expected.

Qualifications

• Capable of rigorous physical labor.
• Understands proper use of company radio.
• Knows operation of heavy equipment.
• Knows basic rigging, hand lines, and lineman knot tying.
• Understands tool maintenance and proper PPE usage.
• Capable of traveling long distances on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair of energized or de-energized transmission work.
• Stringing overhead wire.
• Setting poles and anchors.
• Assist with installing transformers, arrestors, crossarms, insulators, switches and switchgear.
• Assist in replacing fuses and clearing faulted circuits and systems.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment and tools in good condition.
• Perform related duties to complete the job.
