Job summary

GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. is seeking entry-level Geotechnical Engineers for Norwood or Amesbury, MA offices.

May 2027 graduates in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering are welcome to apply as part of a nationally recognized employee-owned firm collaborating on infrastructure, buildings, energy and underground projects. Ideal candidates have strong geotechnical fundamentals, internship or co-op experience, and a drive to grow professionally under mentorship.

Qualifications

• Graduating May 2027 with a BS/MS in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical focus)
• Engineer in Training (EIT) is a plus
• Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team setting

Responsibilities

• Execute subsurface exploration and in-situ testing to evaluate soils and bedrock for foundations
• Perform field construction observation for shallow and deep foundations and underpinning
• Evaluate field data and perform analyses (bearing capacity, slope stability, settlement; LPile/Settle3/Plaxis a plus)
• Write field summaries and technical reports; prepare specifications
• Communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and team members
• Support One Company approach and follow safety instructions
