GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. in Manhattan, NY is seeking an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary geotechnical team.

Based in our Manhattan, NY office, this role involves fieldwork, subsurface explorations, and collaboration with project managers on buildings, bridges, and earth retention projects. You will gain mentorship, training, and a clear path toward becoming a Project Manager or Technical Specialist, with opportunities for growth in a dynamic, team‑oriented

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• 0–5 years of geotechnical experience.
• Willingness to work in the field at project sites.
• Ability to read design drawings and relate them to construction activities.
• New York driver’s license and access to vehicle transportation.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Execute project tasks under project manager guidance and supervision.
• Log test borings, test pits, and other subsurface explorations.
• Communicate effectively with peers and management.
• Assist with preparation of geotechnical reports.
• Support GZA’s “One Company” approach by assisting with tasks outside primary responsibilities as needed.
