S&ME is seeking an Entry-Level Geotechnical Professional in Raleigh, North Carolina. You’ll split time between field explorations and office analysis, learning from licensed engineers and geologists.

This full-time role emphasizes growth, mentorship, and hands-on project work across geotechnical, civil, environmental, and construction materials testing contexts. Ideal candidates have a Civil/Geotechnical/Geology degree, an interest in field and analytical work, and basic technical writing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Mining, or related field.
• Interest in field and analytical work with basic technical writing.
• Willing to perform field and office duties.

Responsibilities

• Fieldwork including soil borings, drilling oversight, monitoring wells.
• Analyze subsurface conditions and support lab testing.
• Prepare data tables, figures, and technical reports.
• Conduct construction and environmental inspections.
• Coordinate with drilling contractors, labs, vendors, and clients.
