Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required; MS/PhD in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
• 0-6 years of Geotechnical Engineering experience.
• Engineer-in-Training Certificate obtained or in process.
• On track to be licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience in soil/rock mechanics, slopes, foundations, tunneling, and seismic design.
• Field observation experience and ability to travel to projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical engineering analyses and calculations.
• Prepare and write engineering and other reports.
• Conduct field explorations, sampling, and mapping.
• Provide construction observation and document logs.
• Perform geotechnical lab testing and communicate results.
• Interact with clients, vendors, and staff.
• Support marketing with cost proposals.
• Comply with QA, health & safety policies.
