Job summary

VONS, part of Albertsons Companies Inc., seeks a Front-End Team Member to ensure a smooth checkout experience for customers. You will assist with scanning, bagging, and answering questions to close out purchases, while keeping the front end organized and efficient.

The role requires flexibility in schedule and a friendly, customer-first attitude. Responsibilities include processing transactions, restocking and assisting with carts, and maintaining a fast-paced, accurate checkout environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older (or 18 years of age or older, depending on local/state requirements)
• Completion of company cashier or front-end training upon hire
• Basic math and communication skills required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Prior customer service experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Scan items and process purchases at checkout
• Bag groceries and assist with cart retrieval
• Answer questions and help customers complete purchases
• Maintain checkout area clean and organized throughout the shift
• Restock supplies and support front-end upkeep as needed
• Follow store policies and register procedures
• Adapt to changing tasks and customer flow during shifts
• Work indoors and outdoors as required, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
