Job summary

VONS is seeking a Front-End Team Member to create a smooth checkout experience for customers. You will handle transactions, assist customers, and maintain a clean, efficient front-end area throughout busy shifts.

Responsibilities include scanning items, processing payments, bagging groceries, and supporting cart retrieval and stocking. A friendly demeanor and reliability help ensure customers leave satisfied.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ years old (or 18+ depending on local/state rules).
• Completion of cashier/front-end training upon hire.
• Basic math and clear communication skills required.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Prior customer service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist at checkout with friendly, efficient service.
• Scan items, process payments (cash, card, digital).
• Bag groceries and help keep the front-end organized.
• Restock supplies and maintain checkout area.
