Job summary

VONS, part of Albertsons Companies Inc., is seeking a Front-End Team Member to deliver a smooth, positive checkout experience for customers.

You’ll rotate between scanning items, bagging groceries, answering questions, collecting carts, restocking, and keeping the front-end area clean and efficient. Applicants should be 16+ (or 18+ depending on local rules), complete cashier training on hire, and be ready for a flexible schedule. You must stand for long periods and can lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older (or 18 years of age or older, depending on local/state requirements).
• Completion of company cashier or front-end training upon hire.
• Basic math and communication skills required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior customer service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with checkout and customer assistance to ensure smooth transactions.
• Handle transactions and provide accurate change and payments.
• Bag groceries, restock supplies, and maintain checkout area.
• Respond to pricing or service questions from customers.
• Follow store policies and checkout procedures.
• Stay adaptable during changing customer flow and shifts.
