Safeway is seeking a Front-End Team Member to deliver a smooth checkout experience, assist customers, and keep the front-end area organized and efficient. You will scan items, handle payments, bag groceries, and respond to customer questions in a fast-paced environment.

The role supports a rotating schedule with early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior customer service is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Friendly, clear communication during checkout and customer assistance.
• Processing purchases accurately, including cash, card, and digital payments.
• Accuracy in scanning, pricing, produce codes, and order completion.
• Handling cash transactions, counting change, and balancing registers.
• Managing multiple tasks while maintaining steady workflow.
• Assisting with bagging, cart retrieval, stocking, and front-end upkeep.
• Recognizing and addressing pricing, transaction, or customer service questions.
• Following company policies, register procedures, and checkout processes.
• Comfort with changing tasks and customer flow throughout the shift.

Responsibilities
