Herc Rentals in Bronx, NY is seeking a Mechanic C to join our fleet maintenance team. This entry-level role focuses on familiarizing you with product knowledge and quality standards, learning branch, regional, and national procedures to grow toward higher-level mechanics.

The Mechanic C contributes to the preventative maintenance program to keep equipment on the rental ready line. You will perform routine maintenance, assist in repairs under supervision, enter work orders, and help produce

Qualifications

Accredited education in heavy equipment repair or 1 year of related experience.
Owns a sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools to complete repairs.
Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Follow a schedule of preventative maintenance on all Herc owned fleet.
Operate and test equipment to ensure quality and efficiency standards.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs under direct supervision.
Diagnose small tools and light equipment with assistance from senior mechanics.
Perform major repairs using diagnostic tools and measuring devices under supervision.
Enter work orders and order parts via the fleet management system.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and produce detailed service reports.
