Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Cincinnati is hiring a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet. You will help keep vehicles safe and on the road while learning Penske’s maintenance processes and training programs.

You’ll work with experienced supervisors, gain hands-on coaching, and access industry-certified training. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and opportunities for career growth within a global logistics leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• Comply with Penske safety and maintenance policies and DOT/OSHA rules.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and safe operation of vehicles for customers.
• Using Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Performing preventative maintenance such as tire replacement/rotation and lubrication on gas/diesel engines.
• Learning new skills through trainer guidance and hands-on coaching.
• Taking on additional projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
