Job summary

DuraServ in Greensboro, NC is seeking an Apprentice Technician who installs, maintains, and repairs commercial door and dock equipment. This role emphasizes learning through hands-on tasks, safety, and customer service as you progress with ADVANCE training.

You will work under supervision to perform basic diagnostics, learn to read manuals and diagrams, and develop practical skills for field service across customer sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Trade school certificate or diploma acceptable.
• Experience with welding, hydraulics, or electrical systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, service, and maintenance of commercial dock and door equipment under supervision.
• Observe basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting tasks to learn equipment operation.
• Learn to safely use hand and power tools to support installation tasks.
• Maintain safe job sites and comply with all safety policies and regulations.
• Document basic service activities and assist in communicating job status to customers.
