Job summary

A DuraServ apprentice technician installs, maintains, and repairs commercial door and dock equipment at customer locations. The role requires mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, a safety-first mindset, and a strong commitment to customer service.

Technicians work both independently and collaboratively to complete scheduled service calls and installations. Quality workmanship, clear communication, and professional conduct are key to success in this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; trade school acceptable.
• Basic welding, hydraulic, electrical knowledge is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and develop repair skills under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, service, and maintenance of commercial dock and door equipment under supervision.
• Observe and participate in basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting tasks.
• Learn to use hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication equipment safely.
• Maintain a safe and clean job site and follow safety policies.
• Document basic service activities and communicate with customers as needed.
