Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician in Chantilly, VA. No experience required; you will learn under experienced staff and receive training and certification support. You will perform field sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, and concrete at project sites under guidance.

Responsibilities include data collection, communicating with site contractors, and contributing to project success. Pay is $18/hour with growth opportunities and safety training.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Willing to develop understanding of heavy construction safety and CMT principles.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials on project sites.
• Testing Procedures: Perform routine field and laboratory tests per standards.
• Data Collection: Calculate and reduce data from tests and sampling.
• Communication: Maintain daily contact with contractors and project managers.
• Training and Development: Receive training and document findings with precision.
