Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services is seeking an entry-level Field Technician to assist in the installation and commissioning of compression units at customer sites in San Angelo, TX. You will support diagnostics, perform basic troubleshooting, and help ensure equipment readiness for operation.

Responsibilities include communicating with Supply Chain, maintaining relationships with customers, and contributing to a 98%+ mechanical availability target. Onsite work, overtime, and on-call duties are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with gas processes and compressor machinery (Waukesha, Ariel, Caterpillar).
• 1 year compression process experience or related training.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong teamwork, communication, analytical skills, and customer focus.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English

Responsibilities

• Assist installation of compression units and meet customer needs.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and build troubleshooting skills on the job.
• Maintain high machine availability with safe, proper procedures.
• Communicate parts/supply needs to Supply Chain and maintain customer relationships.
• Provide 24/7 coverage, overtime, and on-call rotations as required.
• Complete required reports and follow operating procedures.
