Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services is seeking an entry-level Field Technician to assist in installing compression units and ensuring equipment is prepared for use. The role introduces diagnostic and repair skills while supporting other field positions as needed.

The candidate will participate in training, maintain customer relationships, and provide 24/7 coverage, including overtime and on-call rotations, under Kodiak’s safety and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• SSE program or trade school training preferred.
• Some knowledge of gas processes and compressor systems is beneficial.
• 1-year compression process/related experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Must read/write/speak English.

Responsibilities

• Performs activities per Kodiak procedures and objectives.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and build troubleshooting skills.
• Attend HSE meetings and follow protocols.
• Analyze parts and inventory to communicate needs to Supply Chain.
• Maintain customer relationships.
• Achieve 98%+ mechanical availability of equipment.
• Keep units clean and presentable.
• Complete required reports per procedures.
• Provide 24/7 coverage.
• Overtime and on-call rotations; additional tasks as assigned.
