Job summary

ECS Group of Companies (ECS) seeks a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician in Mount Laurel, NJ. No experience is required; you will learn under seasoned staff and perform field testing for soils, aggregates, and concrete.

You will receive paid training, have opportunities to obtain certifications (OSHA 10, ASTM related) and earn a pay rate of $20–$21 per hour, with room to grow as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work with contractors, peers, and supervisors.
• Willingness to learn ECS testing methodologies and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: observe, test, and sample soils, aggregates, and concrete on sites.
• Follow testing procedures and industry standards using field equipment.
• Perform data collection, calculations, and data reduction as needed.
• Maintain communication with site staff and supervisors; report changes in conditions.
• Receive training in ECS methodology for observations, inspections, and testing.
