Bowman Company in Midland, TX invites applicants for an entry-level Survey Instrument Operator I. You will operate survey instruments and join a crew performing boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys for clients. The role requires setting up equipment (total-station, GPS, data collector), performing calculations, and supporting field data collection.

Travel and overtime are expected. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with coursework in surveying.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; commensurate relevant experience considered.
• College or technical courses in mathematics and surveying.
• Entry level position; no prior experience required; surveying or construction experience is a plus.
• Familiar with field procedures for boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys.
• Travel and overtime required.
• Valid US driver's license with a clean record.

Responsabilités

• Operate survey instruments and perform surveys as directed by management.
• Work as a member of a survey crew performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys for clients.
• Set up and operate survey equipment, including total-station, data collector, level, and GPS.
• Perform survey calculations and stakeout tasks as required.
• Maintain survey equipment and keep the survey vehicle stocked with needed supplies; conduct instrument calibration checks.
