Job summary

SPATCO is seeking an entry-level service tech trainee in Slidell, LA. You will receive training to confidently perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on customer equipment, with lodging and meals provided by the company during training.

Hours vary; expect at least 40 hours per week with overtime and an on-call rotation after training. This role requires outdoor work, driving locally, and lifting up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid State Issued Driver’s License and good driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Pass a drug screen and background check for this position.
• Daily local travel.
• Lifting 50-75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete petroleum service calls for our customers at various locations.
• Complete all service call paperwork after each call.
• Communicate with your service dispatcher and manager.
• Explain technical issues in a non-technical manner to the customer.
• Troubleshoot and repair fueling systems and POS equipment.
• Install, program and test new petroleum equipment and perform scheduled maintenance.
