Job summary

SPATCO is seeking a service tech trainee in Florida. This entry-level role provides hands-on training and certification to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on customer equipment, with lodging and meals paid by the company during training.

Hours vary; you will work at least 40 hours per week with overtime and on-call rotation after training. The position requires outdoor work, a valid driver's license, the ability to lift 50–75 lbs, and daily local travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid State Driver’s License required.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.
• Daily local travel to customer sites.
• Able to lift 50–75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete petroleum service calls for our customers. This could be at retail gas stations, commercial locations, hospitals, travel stops, and government facilities.
• Complete all service call paperwork after each call
• Communicate with your service dispatcher and manager
• Explain technical issues in a non-technical manner to the customer
• Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units and POS systems as required
• Install, program and test new petroleum equipment and perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance
• Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and provide repairs as required
