Job summary

SPATCO is seeking a service tech trainee, an entry-level position that provides comprehensive training to advance your career in petroleum service. You will be trained and certified to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on customer equipment.

Training, lodging and meals are paid for by the company. Hours are at least 40 per week with overtime; most calls occur during the day, with an on-call rotation after training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid state issued driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• Daily local travel.
• Lifting 50–75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete petroleum service calls for our customers at various sites.
• Complete all service call paperwork after each call.
• Communicate with your service dispatcher and manager.
• Explain technical issues in a non-technical manner to the customer.
• Troubleshoot and repair petroleum dispensing units and POS systems.
• Install, program and test new petroleum equipment and perform scheduled repairs and maintenance.
