Job summary

Orion is seeking an entry level Field Engineer based in Vancouver, WA to provide site engineering support, inspect project materials, and establish work control lines for accurate installation. You will collaborate with the Project Manager, Superintendent, Engineer, and Safety team to ensure successful project completion and close out.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering or related field and a willingness to learn surveying techniques, quantify quantities, and verify plans.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field required or equivalent experience.
• Experience with project management and construction administration preferred.
• Able to learn technical aspects quickly and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Works with the Project Management Team and jobsite crews to ensure successful project completion.
• Assists in development of bid proposals for marine construction and services projects.
• Estimates costs for upcoming projects including materials, services, labor and other costs.
• Performs drafting, charging and similar graphical work.
• Coordinates procurement of materials from suppliers for the jobsite.
