Job summary
Artheon is seeking a fresh Civil Engineering graduate to join our Construction/CEI team in Cape May Courthouse, NJ. The on-site role involves field inspection, interpreting plans, overseeing materials testing, and preparing reports for highway, bridge, and airport projects.
The position requires willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions, with potential for night shifts and occasional weekends. NJDOT/NJ Turnpike experience is desirable.
Qualifications
- Degree in civil engineering is required.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specs.
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work outdoors in active construction environments.
- Valid driver license with reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Perform field inspections on highways, bridges, airports, and related infra.
- Monitor contractor activities for compliance with plans, specs, safety, and quality.
- Read and interpret engineering plans and contract docs.
- Prepare daily inspection reports and project records.
- Assist Office Engineer tasks, reviewing docs and coordinating information.
- Coordinate with Resident Engineers, PMs, contractors, and clients.
- Support materials testing and project closeout documentation.
- Work on-site daily, with potential nights and weekends as required.
